Becoming Canada's Birthday Town

Approximately 15,000 people attended the two-day celebration which was praised in an editorial by the neighbouring Town of Newmarket:

"From all accounts Aurora will become truly Canada's Birthday Town.  Aurora's Dominion Day celebrations drew the biggest and happiest and most enthusiastic crowds the town has ever seen."
